Email marketing is a digital marketing strategy that uses email to communicate directly with a target audience. It involves sending newsletters, promotional campaigns, transactional emails, and automated workflows to engage, inform, nurture, and convert subscribers into customers. It’s a cost-effective way to build relationships, drive sales, and retain customers while measuring performance with metrics like open rates, click-through rates, and conversion rates.

In previous roles, I was responsible for the strategy, execution, and optimization of email marketing efforts.

  1. Strategy Development
    • Designing and implementing an email marketing strategy aligned with overall business goals.
    • Identifying target audiences and creating segmentation strategies.
  2. Campaign Creation
    • Developing and scheduling email campaigns, including newsletters, promotions, event invites, and drip campaigns.
    • Writing or editing email copy.
  3. Design
    • Creating templates using drag and drop editor
    • Optimized images and graphics for web using Photoshop
  4. List Management
    • Maintaining and growing email subscriber lists.
    • Ensuring proper segmentation for personalized content delivery.
    • Performing regular data cleaning to remove inactive or invalid addresses.
  5. Automation and Workflows
    • Building automated email sequences (e.g., welcome emails, lead nurturing, abandoned cart reminders) using marketing platforms.
  6. Performance Analysis and Optimization
    • Monitoring email performance metrics (e.g., open rates, CTRs, conversions, unsubscribe rates).
    • Conducting A/B testing for subject lines, content, and CTAs.
    • Using insights to improve future campaigns.
  7. Compliance and Deliverability
    • Ensuring email campaigns comply with laws like GDPR, CAN-SPAM, and CASL.
    • Monitoring and improving email deliverability to avoid spam filters.
  8. Collaboration and Cross-Functional Work
    • Working with sales, product, and content teams to align messaging.
    • Supporting broader marketing initiatives with email-driven campaigns.

These emails were created using HubSpot Marketing Hub. However, I’ve worked with Act-On, MailChimp, Constant Contact, iContact, and Vbout.
